German Maifest at St. Peter Lutheran Church

The day will include:

9:00am       German inspired worship with special musik by die St. Peter Kinderchor, Jerry Kahle, Harvey Becker, Art Johnson & Lynette McGinley.

10:00am       The Bavarian Musikmeisters (a 30 plus piece club band), The Best Ever Bake Sale & Root Beer Floats, a massive silent auction, the Maifest Markt-including European imports, Kids games & activities-including the 25′ hopper extravaganza, Bill Koncar roaming accordionist, and of course the opening of the Beer tent.

10:30             Brat & Sausage stand opens

11am-2pm or until gone – Homemade Schnitzel Dinner with all the fixings, tickets available on line now ($12.00) at www.stpeterlc.org12:00-12:30 S.G. Edelweiss Schuhplattlers(traditional German/Austrian slap dancers)

12:30-1:30     The Brass Barn Polka Band-a high energy group of talented young musicians.

1:30-2:00pm   Live Auction in the big tent

2:00pm-3:00pm The Brass Barn Polka Band

3:00pm-3:30pm S.G. Edelweiss Schuplattlers

3:30pm-4:00pm The Raising of The Maibaum-The traditional parade of Bayrischer carrying a 25′ solid wood May Pole & raising it in honor of Spring

3:30pm-4:00pm The Raising of the Kinder Maibaum-All kids will be invited to join in the kids parade & raising of their own May Pole with a climbing challenge to follow.

4:00pm-6:00pm The ever popular Alpensterne Band playing traditional German & Austrian delights.

Additional Information:

The 2017 Maifest bar will feature German beer & wine selections as well as the ever popular Einzelganger Alt made just for us by Lupine Brewing, Delano MN.

We will also feature Apples & Vines wine from Parley Lake Winery, Waconia MN & Minnesota Crisp Cider from Millner Heritage Winery & Cider House, Kimball MN.

We also heard a special guest will be on hand including Bruce “die Kaiser” Larson with his canon & Spielmannszug MN royalty Prinzenpaar S.T. Prinz Franz I & I.L. Prinzessin Linda I from Hopkins MN as well as the debut of junior royalty S.T. Prinz Raymond I & I.L. Prinzesseein Annerose I from Delano MN.
